Photo Effects #7 - Text (Free) App Reviews

This app crashed my app upon my first attempt to use it. I give it a ZERO.

Dont know how much you can trust these reviews not that I found it won’t let me use the app before I rate it… Ummm… So what do I say… I haven’t used it yet… So I guess I’ll start with one star since asking for a rating before you even have a chance to use it means it definitely needs some changes… Maybe I’ll get to use it and re-rate it… Update: Used it once and deleted it. Some peope might like it but it wasn’t for me. There weren’t any elegant options.

Not what I thought it was going to be. I wanted to edit my photos. Not put stupid words or create movement to them! Bummed.

I haven’t used it yet, but it wanted a rating.

This app has been on my computer 2 years and I’ve only used it a couple of times. But, it works as described and hasn’t caused any problems. There are some very nice photo effects, i.e. filters that just change your photo into something more artistic or surreal. I will continue to use it from time to time and recommend this should be in your bag of tricks.

You can put a text on a picture and what should I do with the picture? Well, I cannot say the app is useful but may be someone can use it. You can drag and drop a picture for adding a text to it. The user interface is not the best and you need to learn how it works.

I wanted to add text to a photo. First I went to the menu and found the import photo option. It wouldn’t let me import a standard jpeg photo. So I opened finder and drug the photo over, that seemed to work. My goal was to simply add text and save the photo. Easy to do, but one MAJOR problem. It forces some kind of cheesy not-desired effect onto the photo wheter I want it or not. I can’t just add text and save. I tried, but all the flying flipping cheesy effects were always active. It offers a “pause” button because the effects are flying around non-stop, whether you want them to be applied or not. So if you’re looking to simply add text to a photo, don’t try to use the program. Can’t simply just add text. Poor program.

I’m using the FREE version, so I don’t have all the effects, but then I’m used to taking a photo from one app to another to get the effect I want. Not every app has every effect. These filters / effects are relatively unique compared to other apps I use (most of them are the free version). I am considering buying the other effect packages for this app because they are relatively unique and they have been bug-free. The price is also reasonable. These are all qualities I look for in an app. I recommend that you give Photo Effects #7-Text (Free) a try.
